Ok, here's a story for y'all that happened a few days ago...
After a hard day's work, I returned home to find my wife outside with all my boys having fun. It was late in the afternoon and time to take the herd inside for dinner. We went downstairs and I laid out on the LoveSac and Emily came over to lay next to me while we chatted for a little bit. The twins started playing around and winding down for the day. J.T. went into the kitchen, grabbed a granola bar and came in saying, "Mama? open? dis?" (each word has the inflection of a question). She replied, "No, it's about dinner time, come give that to Mama." He immediately obeyed and we were able to start chatting again. This week Emily, Raelynn and Rebeca have been taking the wallpaper (that looks like 70s Vegas carpet) off the walls downstairs so we've had tools all over the place. About 3-4 minutes after J.T. had brought the granola bar to Emily, Drew came and leaned over Emily from the back (she was laying on her side) with a screwdriver in his hand: "Mama? hold? dis? hold? dis?" We looked at each other with slightly confused looks (not too confused; we are the parents of twins two-year-olds after all) but she then took the screwdriver. For the next 5 seconds we kept looking at each other, at Drew, at the screwdriver and back to each other then it happened: Drew's angelic grin he had on his face was replaced with a mischievious grin as he lunged over Emily and grabbed the granola bar that SHE HAD TO PUT DOWN TO TAKE HIS SCREWDRIVER! He took off like a bolt of greased lightning but Emily caught his shirt when he was about 2 feet away. We were all laughing but none so loud as Drew who was shouting the most joyous yelps of glee since he knew he was triumphant! Even though he didn't actually get away, his plan had worked and he was the victor. He was SO proud of himself.

I didn't know you had another baby! Congratulations. You are very outnumbered.
